Managing Partner

Shep is responsible for leading East End’s West Coast operations and its production studio platform. In his role as Managing Partner, he sources value-add office and residential opportunities in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Seattle markets, as well as studio opportunities throughout North America and Europe.

Before joining East End, Shep was a Senior Vice President at KBS where he oversaw and directed the origination, underwriting financing and closing activities for acquisitions and joint venture opportunities. Prior to KBS, he spent seven years as Managing Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Savanna, where he oversaw a team of asset managers and ran the daily operations for a 3 million square foot portfolio. In 1995, Shep co-founded Cosi, Inc. and developed the chain into a nationally recognized brand with over 100 restaurants in 11 states. His primary responsibility was overseeing real estate development and leasing for the business. After taking the brand public in 2002, Shep left the company to focus on development projects in New York City. He graduated cum laude from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
