285 Madison Avenue

New York City

285 Madison is a distinctive twenty-six story, 530,000 square foot pre-war office building located on the northeast corner of Madison Avenue and 40th Street, one block from both Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park. The revitalized asset is an emblem for the emerging Bryant Park district, and a place where Midtown and Midtown South converge. Together with partners RFR and GreenOak, the property was gut renovated to include a distinctive entry and lobby with strong building identity, thoroughly modernized elevators, new mechanical infrastructure, reconfigured cores and common areas, a revitalized roofdeck amenity, and new windows and bathrooms throughout. The lobby level also includes amenity space for the exclusive use of tenants and their guests, featuring a lounge with food service, media/events room, and additional “lifestyle” functions.

East End and GreenOak sold their ownership interests to RFR in September 2016.
