Related Group, East End Capital plan office building in Miami’s Wynwood

A joint venture between the Related Group and East End Capital plan to build an office building at their mixed-use project in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District.

The developers recently broke ground on Wynwood 25 after receiving a $58 million construction loan. This project, one of the first under the neighborhood’s revised zoning code, will have 289 apartments and 31,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Now Miami-based Related Group and New York-based East End Capital are preparing plans for the Wynwood Annex office building between Northwest 24th and 25th Streets, immediately west of Northwest 2nd Avenue. It would be right next to Wynwood 25.

Plans for Wynwood Annex call for 4,900 square feet of ground-floor retail and 47,000 square feet of leasable office space, with office suites from 5,500 to 7,200 square feet. The 8-story building would also include a rooftop outdoor space, a covered outdoor conference center, and private terraces for some offices.

The Wynwood Annex was approved by the Wynwood Design Review Committee on July 10. The developers hope to complete the project in summer 2019.

It was designed by Kobi Karp Architecture.

According to a spokeswoman for the developers, Wynwood Annex would be positioned for tenants in the fields of technology, advertising, marketing and innovation.

The neighborhood, with its street art, trendy restaurants and shops, has become a popular destination for people to visit. With all the new offices and apartments proposed under Wynwood’s new zoning code, developers are banking that people will want to live and work there too.
