Wynwood Arcade reveals new murals, announces ‘artist-in-residence program’

East End Capital is putting the finishing touches on Wynwood Arcade, a retail and restaurant development off North Miami Avenue and 24th Street in Wynwood.

A new set of murals have been completed by Japanese artist Hitotzuki in the atrium, following Tristan Eaton’s vibrant murals on the exterior. Hitotzuki is a husband-and-wife team comprised of Kami and Sasu.

Bonobos was the first tenant to open in the space, with the Salty Donut, Patrizia Bozzi Design, In the Kitchen with Norman Van Aken, Raphaella Booz, OSME, and MuseØ soon to follow. Three spaces remain vacant.

Also recently announced was the development’s “artist-in-residence program,” which is currently featuring the work of New York artist Shawn Kolodny, who is working, exhibiting and selling his art in a studio within the development.

“From the beginning, it has been a priority for us to make Wynwood Arcade a reflection of the artistic and creative character of the neighborhood,” said Jonathon Yormak, Managing Principal of East End Capital, developer of the Wynwood Arcade. “The work of these two artists will bring the interior of the building to life, complementing the street art throughout the exterior and the surrounding neighborhood.”
